Charity shop find

Hi guys I’ve found this in a charity shop removed the links and believe it to be real can anyone tell me how I find out anything about this as I believe it’s real it’s a milguess Rolex M742138 or b at the end eye sights rubbish - I’ve asked her to keep it by and I’ll return to collect it tomorrow.

She thinks it’s fake but I said I’ll take a pun and return tomorrow 😍😍

Where can I look to find more info please

As you have no posts (well 1) I don’t think that rules allow you to post photos.

You need to have at least 10 posts before you can post pics (I think)

That’s why we can’t see the pics!

So you left it with someone in the store and said you’d return tomorrow , this is so wrong lol . Why didn’t you take a risk and buy the watch for what they were selling it for believing it’s a fake , £ 50 ? Then you could have gone to a jewellers and had it checked out . You’ll get nowhere being that cautious he who dares wins pal ... what if they decide to check it out themselves , or sell it by the time you get back ? You can normally tell a fake from a real quite easily , if you wouldn’t know how to I don’t think this games for you sorry , but good luck anyway lol

I posted a pic in my first post so I believe, if those were the rules, that they changed.

So let's see the (possible) Milgauss!

However, I would never knowingly try to pull the wool over someones eyes. If that charity store had something of much greater value than they believed, and I found that out, I would tell them. That is how I live.

This. Good luck, I hope

A: it’s genuine
B: still there tomorrow (unless you aroused their suspicions.)

Given the current day and age of immediate information flow (internet), I would be very sceptical about finding an authentic piece unawares and tucked away in
a thrift shop. Its not to say it can't and doesn't happen but I'd say the odds are supersedingly against you. That said....if someone is selling something severely under market, well there may very well be a reason for it, and that's the risk you as the buyer take. Caveat Emptor. Could be real, fake, stolen, broke or who knows...either way I don't question the why someone sells an item at any given price. Though I do negotiate on it. If that makes me a bad person...well I suppose I've been called worse lol. Best of luck to the OP.

There are lots of places on the Internet which discuss how to spot a fake Rolex.
But this isn't one of them.
There are good reasons why this is the case.

However, if you do post some good quality photos, you will likely get opinion on whether it's real or fake, but probably not the reasons why.

Have a look here as an example....

It’s fake.

Call me a cynic. But they’re always fake.

Well, Google search pretty quickly makes me think this isn't a fairytale....

Edit: but seems to have been sold by long term ebay seller in 2017? Perhaps the serial is genuine, but not sure about the watch in the charity shop...
