This video features the same purple/pink hue as the Purist Forum's thread pictures (not the same person and camera though….).

I'm sure that Rolex got the colors right, my BLNR also looked strange on photos but in real life.. perfect.

I've said before their videos are not a good colour guide, the lighting they use is not a good reflection of real life, as their BLNR vid also shows.

The two pics above look awesome!

I saw the watch at Basel and can confirm the pinkish red and purplish blue, though the pink in the red was pronounced than the purple in the blue. I think that some of the basel pics might have been saturated after that fact, or maybe this is just an issue of lighting. Still a nice looking watch IMHO.

I think this thread shows the blue and red colours well, esp the close up shot, as the SDc looks like an accurate depiction.

Yesterday I met my watchmaker who works at my AD's.

Great guy who's been taking care of my watches for almost nine years now.

He went to Basel with his boss and saw the BLRO in the flesh and he had the opportunity to handle it and put it under careful scrutiny.
I did not say anything about the ceramic bezel but he spontaneously told me that he was not convinced since he thought the red portion of the bezel featured a purple/pink hue and that he would have preferred a pure red, like the one featuring on aluminum inserts. I must say that this spontaneous statement was quite a surprise to me.

So wait and see….. till one of these BLRO reaches a TRF member.

Hey if you like it buy it, if not get an old 16710. At the 40K price tag, definitely a wealthy mans timepiece. I personally like it, but it is out of my reach.

A TRF member has already handled it at an event here and said it was clearly blue and red and not pink and it looks like the real deal.

No, it's blue and pink. New name is Pink Panter instead of pepsi.

Come on.
