AD recommendations in NY/NJ/PA?

I'm heading across the pond tomorrow for a week en route to Brazil. Despite it being insured worldwide I'm too scared to take my grail down there with me, so I thought I might do a little window shopping and perhaps pick me up a white Explorer II or perhaps even a BLNR. If I'm just window shopping, anything goes - I always like to see something unusual in an AD. Anyone got any recommendations for any ADs to visit? I'll be starting in NYC, but will probably be doing a roadtrip that will likely include NJ and PA. I'm also in Tallahassee for a few days, and Miami for a few hours before changing planes. Given our most famous trusted seller has the Explorer II on his website for a couple of hundred dollars more than I could just pick it up for at the AD boutique in Schiphol, and the BLNR for $50 less than US retail, I doubt I'll get much joy on discounts, but if anyone has any discount tips I'd love to hear 'em Private replies welcome too, including any trusted seller proposals as long as it'd be BNIB in my name with a green tag

Go to Wempe Rolex and the other Wempe dealer a few blocks down on 5th avenue that carries Patek, AP etc.

Tourneau also here in NYC. So that's 3 stops right there. Enjoy.

Cheers. And presumably 0% discount on SS in Wempe and Tourneau?

Going to be slim pickings looking for a discounted BLNR on short notice. Exp2 should be easier. Only tip I have is to ship out of state for tax considerations.

I would personally just spend my time hitting up all the ny boutiques (patek, lange, journe, AP, rolex, wempe, cellini Waldorf/Madison....lots to see

I wouldn't expect to find a discount in Manhattan. Possibly in jersey.

A huge second on that...

I have recently purchased two "used" watches from Govberg. Both still had stickers and the Rolex SD 4000 had clearly never been worn (the bracelet was not sized and still had stickers). Their service was exemplary and I would most certainly do business with them again. Now, that said, you can almost always find better deals with trusted sellers here if you are buying new. In my case Govberg had two watches that I wanted and I was able to use my credit card from the convenience of my couch---WAY too easy!! And, yes I got points and I pay my card at the end of each month!

As for NJ, Leonardo's has 2 locations (Elizabeth and Red Bank) or Sydney Thomas, which is located in the Short Hills Mall. Good luck!

The Rolex Boutique by Wempe is the Flagship Rolex store in NYC.
It's at 53rd Street & 5th Ave., in the Rolex US Headquarters building.
You will see all the newly released Basel 2015 watches there!

To be honest, being treated like a criminal just for having the audacity to call having been recommended by TRF readers, I'm not falling over myself to call the racist back.

For window shopping, Tourneau's in the King of Prussia Mall (Philly) has an incredible selection. I highly doubt you will get a discount, but they probably have any watch that you wanted to look at. They even have a Platona!!!!

Why so harsh?
First, you yourself said she explained why. She had recent fraud attempts.
Second, racist because of an accent?

Buy where you are comfortable but I have bought four Rolex from them in 20 years and I assure you, your money can have any accent it wants as long as green and they will help you.

Rolex dealers in Manhattan while nice people usually don't have that much stock due to much greater demand/pool of potential buyers. When something like BLNR shows up at the dealer it's gone within a few hours. Morre Lyons are very nice and aren't that far if you have a car handy.

Wilson & Son Jewelers in Scarsdale, NY is awesome. The owner Mike Wislon is a great guy and very knowledgable about Rolex. His brother Matt is also very good to deal with. They have another store in Mt Kisco. I've purchased four Rolex watches from them and would gladly go back for more. They're a class act and highly recommended!

On 47th st., for a little more on the gray market (but still with overseas AD warranty card), is Sammi at 55 w 47th, iirc. His personal number is 973 262 1444 and you can call him after 10am. He stands by his rolexes and has taken good care of me, I'm sure he'll do the same for you. Can't promise late-notice availability of a given watch, but worth a call. You migjt get a nice Rolex at a nice price.
