Looking for price advice on Submariner

Hi there,

Looking to buy my first Rolex, a submariner 2 tone (16613) in black. I can get one for $5150. It was made in 1997.

Does this seem like a fair price?

Thanks for your help in advance.

You can find prices for TT Subs all over the Internet.

Get the best example you can find for the price you are willing to pay. There is no way to know if your price cited is a good one or not without knowing the condition of the watch.

Follow prices on eBay and Watch Recon and Chrono 24to see what people are asking [and what they're getting.] It really matters if there is [provable] service history too and can add to the value. Have a look at the Trusted Sellers here on trf too.
The TT is a great Sub. Good luck.

Condition will be the biggest factor in the price. Also does it come complete with box and paperwork? While different opinions on importance, it will affect the price some.

There are a lot of factors. None of which your provided to us, so it's very hard to say. Look around and figure out if it's worth it to you compared to what else is out there.
