Is this an authentic Rolex? Help!

Hi everyone,

I inherited a bunch of stuff, including a Rolex. I've done as much reading as I can to see if it could be real - and I really dont know. I thought I would come here to see if anyone can point out any signs if its totally utterly a fake, or if it could be real potentially.

I've posted some photos. If it's fake, be nice. If its real, help me out in determining its value(ish).

I appreciate anyone taking the time to drop a reply. Thanks everyone!

Date magnification looks off, but I'm not too good with datejust, the best way is opening the caseback and snapping a photo or two

No need. It’s not even a close fake.

Is there something specific that is the main indicator of the fakeness?

There is very little about this watch that would make one believe that it was authentic.

You have the watch in your hands. Is there anything about the watch that would make you think it's worth thousands of dollars?

Your watch has a sticker on the back that says 18239. Google 18239 and see what they look like. And then you will see someone essentially put a fake Rolls Royce emblem on a fake Ford Pinto.
