Great thread! I have way too many G-Shocks, but since you mentioned the GW-5000 in your opening post, I’ll show that one first. Probably my all-around favorite G-Shock.

Love the 5610 too! Arguably the only watch a person would ever need.

Great pic Dave. Do you get the radio reception every night there in NYC? We're towards the edge of the zone in HK, and get the signal about four times a week. I still get kind of a kick out of seeing RCVD on the dial.

No, I’ve never received the radio signal here in NYC. I only ever see the RCVD when I’m traveling. (Of course, with my Bluetooth models I can cheat and get it through my phone.)

I've been thinking about getting a Bluetooth Casioak but I'm hoping (most probably in vain) that there will be a Solar/Multiband 6 version at some point, as I really like the idea of a self-setting, self-charging watch that's not connected to the Internet, or to my phone.

You might try this trick I discovered accidentally.
