deployant buckle sits too high?

I just received my new rubber strap conversion kit for my 26331 ROC, and unfortunately because I'm using the last hole on the strap, the deployant clasp sits basically on the side of my wrist instead of under it.

is this scenario something that people just get used to?

A picture might help but I tend to wear mine (39mm 26022/25960) a little more loosely than other watches. I have no problems that way. The other trick I've heard is to try reversing the straps since our wrists aren't symmetrical.

I've tried reversing the straps, but it just sits essentially on the opposite side of the wrist, and my OCD then gets the best of me with the upside down buckle!

yeah its just unfortunate after spending 1300 on a kit that's not perfect... i might have to shell out some more for the short strap if they indeed have one.

I personally hate the way deployment buckles feel on my wrist. . I swap all mine out for tang buckles including all my APs

I have mine in the middle hole and it has the same issue, I believe its just the design of the strap/deployant clasp. At first it bothered me, but after a year or so I hardly notice or care anymore to be honest. I can't even tell unless I look at it.

I agree. I like the design but the feeling in the wrist is not on point.

I've worn it all day now and I can say that I've gotten used to it already. I still think it's a pretty bad design in terms of fitment, but at least it doesn't bother me as much now

The deployant buckle is facing in the wrong direction.

The short strap part must be fitted at 6 and the long part at 12 for a deployant.
Tang buckle long strap at 6 and short part at 12 but it seems that your strap is too long in total

One of the most uncomfortable deployant buckle I have. Should consider to re-design. Not that AP does not know the problem. The suggestion is always to reverse the direction of the buckle to ease the discomfort. User needs to adjust to such a high end product is not good customer experience. This has been discussed and highlighted many times many moons ago.

I’m not a huge fan of the design either. I’m not sure why it has to be so long and seems too straight. If it were shorter it wouldn’t matter as much. But likeI mentioned, I just wear it one hole looser and it is very comfortable. Doesn’t have the “tight look” but I’d rather be comfortable.

Same thing happened to my wife's RO so got the tang buckle from AP.

very true... i just wish going to the second hole didn't almost make the watch feel like its falling off

If you are brave enough, you can bend the deployant to fit the curve of your wrist. I did it with the same style deployant on the metal bracelet for my 25860. It doesnt take a lot of pressure to bend and it was way more comfortable after the fact

I did this with my 28560 before this current watch. As long as it isn’t too drastic and the clasp still closes securely at the end you’re good. Another option is punching a hole between the predicting ones.

Ask AP to swap for pin buckle. You will get 500 back and it will be comfortable.

Did not know they make Tang style clasps for RO and ROC, I thought they were only for ROO. Any pictures of a RO or ROC with rubber strap and tang clasp???
