I had my DJ36 16233 (flat glass by the way) for 15 years until earlier this year when I started looking at sports watches, and bought a Sub 16610 4 weeks ago.

When I put the DJ36 back on after two weeks it looked tiny and I could no longer wear it! I p/ex'd it against my wife's new DJ31 a few weeks back.

Now I NEED another DJ, so tried the new DJ36 a few times but it just looks like a ladies watch on my 7 1/2" wrist. Weird isn't it that after all these years I'm suddenly out of love with 36mm?

So, I'm going for the DJ41. At a distance (look in a mirror, not directly at your wrist) it doesn't look big at all and my DJ love affair can start all over again.

Of course you have far more dial choice with the 36, and the hidden clasp, but the 41's Oyster clasp has three adjustment settings, and the 5mm extension, whereas the 36 has only removable links to adjust it.

The 36 is cheaper, sure, but it may cost more in the long run if you make the wrong choice.

As others have said, get what you like.
I have 7" wrists, and for me, I find 36mm to be too small.
I got this DJ 41 last month. Fits perfectly.

I have been round the houses with this subject also. After all the nonsense it comes down to what you like and feel comfortable with. Forget what other people think. Do you want a watch for fashion or craftsmanship? Fashion will change the craftsmanship will not. Go and try the watches on and base it on your honest opinion, rather than what you think is your opinion but in reality is the opinions of the majority of other people.

Not at all. I had already ruled out the 36mm. In fact, I was disappointed that the 41mm didn't have a larger appearance.

I have a 7 inch wrist and grew out of love with the 36 I had. The DJ41 on the other hand is as good as it gets!!

Good advice here.
