I've got quite a few brushes, Shavemac will make you a knot to your specs, silky smooth or one that will give your face a good scrub.

One on my favourites is this GA, "Americana", will scrub the beard off your face, I personally prefer a really "scritchy" brush and these knots are hand-made - can't beat the price and the performance, and of course, a superb razor helps....

I’ve gone through trial and error with around a dozen brushes and settled on Omega. Lots of perfectly adequate brushes but Omega was just the best I’ve used. Also Cella soap!

The best soap out there in my opinion, the one that rules them all, is Martin De Candre out of France, or MdC Original or Fougere...only soap that ever came close was Castle Forbes out of Scotland.

Totally agree with Shavemac.

Nothing like a brush you customize to your own preference. They make a quality brush that lasts.

I have a newer Art of Shaving Fine Badger brush. It’s a nice brush. I thought the AOS Silvertip one seemed too large and dense. I think they deliberately make things unnecessarily complicated to get people to upcharge themselves by increasing knot size and badger quality as you go up, and only offering the 3 types with various handles. It probably makes it easier to sell.
Theres not too much splay, good backbone, not too stiff or scratchy and it makes a great lather. It’s probably a bit over priced, but I wanted to get one I could see and feel myself as it was my first brush. The modern ones are supposedly made by Mühle. The Mühle branded ones aren’t any bargain, so a small upcharge to see it first and walk out with it that day was fine.
This is dangerous territory, and I can see that it’s pretty easy for someone with some discretionary funds to go down the rabbit hole and end up with 5 or 6 razors, 20 brushes, custom made stuff, 50 creams/soaps, 100 aftershaves, etc.
I’m trying to keep it simple! I already have too much cologne, and of course watches.

i use some brush from Walmart...it s really cheap but it really sucks..don 't buy that.
:-] i think my wife bought it for me..
i picked up a nice one in Milan..that one is VERY nice..have to look up the brand..don't remember , and i am in bed ..too lazy to get up..tomorrow

I'm not a typical customer for a shaving brush or shaving cream but can use a nice quality one for those times when I have the time to pamper and properly " shave "

Omega 636 Silvertip Badger. Shaving is my guilty pleasure. I threw out the old TracII disposable razor 3 years ago and haven't looked back.
