'kin' idiot.

The fakest part is the story about his two friends, each apparently worth 500 million, laughing about their banker's Rolex... Why would they even care?

Why would I want a watch I have to take off and charge every couple days? I like the fact that my watch is entirely mechanical and will never stop running so long as I wear it.
My company gave me a Fitbit a few years ago to help employees track their activity level and attain certain fitness goals as incentive to lower their healthcare premiums. It struck me as kind of Orwellian and I eventually sent it through our washing machine and it died, of course, so I stopped wearing it. I'm not interested in knowing how many steps I took during any given 24 hour period and I'm definitely not interested in anyone else knowing it. Yeah, I'll stick with my mechanical arm jewelry thank you very much. I wear a watch and a wedding ring. That's it. |

Sorry guys for being naive. Is this real?
I read quickly a few paragraph and it sounded quite fake. |

The biggest piece of fluff to come along today.
I wear a Fitbit and a Rolex, well today, it's a Fitbit and an Orient. I have two words for the author, but I'll keep them to myself.

I checked the "about me" on his website. It says he sold 183 home mortgages in 2009 and was therefore "One of the top mortgage people on the planet" (aside: has he ever heard of big commercial mortgage brokers, institutional sized CRE debt investors, etc. ? He was nowhere close to a top mortgage person globally)
Then he was forced out of this business in 2010, when he failed to get a mortgage license due to felony gun charges He is now selling sales training products online and claims to be making over 2 million a year from this The site does have 1600 likes on FB but that doesn't seem anywhere close to being a 2 million per year site |

I couldn't get passed the third paragraph - no matter how much I tried - what a load of BS.

it doesn't surprise me actually. You either get it or you don't when discussing high end watches.
The same argument can be made for buying expensive pieces of original art vs buying the same picture in a print and framing it. Doesn't make a difference to most, but for those who get it, its a big difference. |

I took a prize fit bit over a prize Rolex...this doesn't make any financial sense. Wouldn't any sane financial expert select the Rolex ....sell it.... then buy a fit bit

I find it exceptionally unlikely that two CEO's are laughing at a banker for wearing a Rolex.
Agree with Abdullah. This is the Huffington post just doing their thing.

Unfortunately I think we are playing his game. The "article" (quotations necessary) is purposely controversial to attract readers and cash in on the internet traffic. I can't see any other rational explaination, well except getting a Fitbit instead of a Rolex as a prize!!

The reason he posted was to drive traffic to his personal site and sell more get-rich-quick products, but considering that he practically called all Rolex owners idiots, I doubt anyone from TRF is buying |
