What we'd both thought would be a really boring day riding through riding through Nevada ended up being a really beautiful day riding through Oregon. When we planned the route we didn't realize we'd spend almost the entire day riding through a state we both love (and both lived in for years). It was fantastic!

Leaving Winnemucca

Riding into the hills

First pit stop

Riding into the smoke

Second pit stop

Downtown Boise is great!

Busted out the drone yesterday too. Figured what better place to play with it than out in the middle of nowhere!

We'll be in Whitefish / Glacier the day after tomorrow. If the reports we're reading are correct, things are clearing up a bit. We shall see.

Beautiful, quick ride to McCall. And what a gem McCall is! We love it here! This stop -and really this whole trip in general- is more about taking the time to enjoy the places we're going through vs trying to put as many miles on the odometer as possible.

Not a lot of text with these posts I realize, but I'm really trying to stay present / in the moment on this trip and not turn posting into a part time job. At some point I'll get to writing, just haven't felt it yet. Loving every minute so far! Off to Montana next!

looks awesome. there was some rain in the Flathead Valley on Saturday which cleared things up a bit. I'm back to reality in AZ. Enjoy!

If you have the time take the Glacier Highway out of Banff NP up to Jasper NP. Spectacular scenery. Spent six months living in Banff. Great, great area.

Yeah we have 2 days in Banff so the tentative plan is to ride up towards Jasper NP on day 2. Was living in Banff as amazing as one would imagine?

Spent a winter there. Skiing Lake Louise. The Rockies forming the Alberta/British Columbia border are spectacular landscape.

Indeed, when you head back south to CA if you can plot a route through like Revelstoke and Kelwona or Nelson it is worth your time.

I am envious of your trip. Enjoy.

Indeed! The Icefields Parkway is stunning! Some shots from a motorcycle trip a couple of years and three bikes ago.

Absolutely beautiful ride from McCall to Missoula. One we'll never forget and need to do again some day. This is one that should be on any motorcyclist's bucket list.

Wishing you both a safe ride!!

If you need a superb suspension guy, let me know. He lives in your neck of the woods and I refer to him as the tire whisperer.

Stay safe and dry!
