If you need a superb suspension guy, let me know. He lives in your neck of the woods and I refer to him as the tire whisperer.

Stay safe and dry!
Thanks!! I assume you're talking about Ted Porter? I haven't met him yet but have heard nothing but good things!

I was referring to Dave Moss. He does suspension only. Well, he rides and he races, but his bread and butter is suspension.

Motorcycle ride from Santa Cruz to Banff and back

Words just can't describe the sights one sees and the feelings that come with those sights while riding Going to the Sun Road. And try as I might, I wasn't able to properly capture any of it with my camera. You simply have to be here in person and experience it for yourself to "get it." What a magical place Glacier National Park is.

You are exactly right. Even though your pictures are beautiful, it has to experienced. Even being there, it still hard to wrap your mind around the majesty of the area.

The last time we rode "Going to the Sun Road" it was 82 degrees as we entered GNP. A little ways up a cold light rain. By the time we got to Logan Pass, it was sleeting sideways.
Long, slow, cold ride to St. Mary.

Looks like great weather for your ride! Thanks for the pictures! Ride safe!

Beautiful roads there.
Amazing pics.
Been that way on a GS myself a couple of times.
Ice field road was a bucket list item for me.

This is a great post. Reminds me I've done very little exploring within the Northwest. Love this image of northern Nevada.

The desert drone video is awesome! Was this wrist shot from the drone?

Amazing trip Bob, keep the pictures coming!

Random question but I'm curious as to how much range you get out of your motorcycles

You nailed it. Even as you're riding through this amazing place, your brain can't quite process the fact that it's actually real!

Thank you sir!

By range you mean mileage per tank? We both have 5 1/2 gallon tanks and average around 45 mpg so we can get easily do 225 miles per tank.

Breakfast at Lake Louise, a quick ride up the Icefields Parkway, then back to Banff for some bumming around. 'Twas a day of perfection.

Motorcycles get rockstar parking, which is a big deal here. Cars had to park at a lot 4-5 miles down the highway and take a shuttle.

I mean seriously...

Made it to Sandpoint after a cold ride today (40° for the first 80 miles). Nice view at dinner.

It started off as a cold ride (40º the first 80 miles), but it was still beautiful. And the place we're staying in Sandpoint is amazing!

Today's ride through Idaho, Washington and Oregon proved you don't need mountains or rivers to form a beautiful landscape. Golden rolling hills (with nice twisty roads) do the trick all the same.
