it's highly concerning that a sizeable number of people took this seriously.

Hey I went to the AD this morning and they gave me donuts!!
Apparently good clients wannabe are gifting them boxes of goodies for no reason.
They don’t eat them so they give them away.

Suggestion to all the good clients wannabe, bring coffee as well, and not the cheap Starbucks, get a Illy at least. After a couple of donuts, we’d enjoy a sip of decent coffee.
Thanks

I know this post was a bit of mischief but by the OP but things like this could make the difference.

A few years ago I had been waiting for the White dial Daytona for over a year and was wondering if It would ever arrive.
Anyway my local AD which I had been a good customer for a few years had been attacked by armed robbers , I was in Town and popped in with some chocolates just to show a bit of support and let them know that I appreciate them.
Two weeks later these 3 arrived. Daytona , Pepsi and the Root

I had always brought them chocolates when buying a watch as I appreciated the service , I was bribing ADs many years before bribing ADs was an actual thing

I believe he told the story (made up?) in all seriousness...some people like the attention and need the adulation. Unfortunately it backfired....

I'd like to say you can't make this sh*t up (believing the thread) but even when the OP comes out and says 'Satire', some STILL think he's back peddling.. Amazing...

Not just satire OP but creative and well done!

I've and in at the donut shop and just heard that the new Dunkin's green icing creme filled is going for 3X msrp. It's really popular at ADs.
