Submariner NO HOLES case w/ no SEL bracelet?

I currently have 2 subs. One is an older TT blue which I love but it's starting to show it's age as I have worn it daily for many years. So I'm looking at a newer 16613.

Problem is it's a "no holes" case with a SEL bracelet. I really don't like the SEL bracelets for some reason. I don't know why I just don't.

My buddy also has a TT with the non SEL bracelet and is willing to swap for my SEL bracelet (should I buy the watch)

So on to my question. Is it going to look out of place to have a no holes case with a non SEL bracelet?

It won't work. You could get the non-SEL bracelet on, but how in the heck would you ever remove it??

Serial "Y" (approx 2003) is the newest you can get with lug holes.

FWIW, I think you should give the SEL bracelets a chance. They feel more solid and the newer design wetsuit extension does not accidentally deploy as occasionally happens on the older bracelets.

Don't the non SEL's have the little space to grab the spring bar? Mine does, though my watch is older and I'm pretty sure it's an aftermarket bracelet.

I could be wrong, but I don't think so.
