I did a wedding once and it was an absolutely horrible experience. I was much younger and there was only film back then. There’s some Leica pros who do some and their work is LFI outstanding. That 75mm Noc is my dream lens. One day!

Just using your camera gear to photograph camera gear is much like googling google.

You're messing with quantum mechanics and space/time continuum and bad things will happen.

Just saying.....and get better dude.

Do you use Lightroom? You can resize there easily.

Oi, I hope it's not jammed. I have a 44" printer collecting dust because it was throwing an error code after sitting unused for too long... $1500 to fix. No thanks!

I just recently bought a P800. That serves me well enough so far. I've been making 4x6s lately - kinda tired of making large prints for them to sit around the house taking up space anyway.

Going to use it for digital negatives too. Read the p800 is good for that.

P800 sounds about right. 17 inch printer so I could go up to 16x24 if I wanted. Only problem would be gallery wraps.

My issue is buying one and having it sit around doing nothing like the 24 inch is doing.

I need to get motivated or forget it.

I read there are less clog issues with the p800 even if it's been sitting for a while... One of the reasons why I chose it... yep 16x24 is the ideal large size for me anymore... Even when I used the 44" the biggest I did was only with 24" paper rolls... Such a waste, lol. I thought i was going to be using my 4x5 view camera and making 4 foot x 5 foot prints... never happened.

Maybe the firmware needs an update?

That can be an issue if your post production software or hardware’s OS has been updated and left the printer behind the minimum rev. Level.

Now it’s all iPhone and composition.

Now did you Lightroom this shot to solarize the car?

Haha, all LR and PS. The car is mostly natural. Was in zone system and was actually the hardest thing to work around.

I accidentally posted an early edit of this but oh well.

The error code had something to do with print heads overheating and also the carriage was out of whack somehow.

I miss darkroom printing, and I have 4 enlargers (one a Leica enlarger) and all the stuff to set something up, just not the motivation, ha ha. I still shoot film (as well as digital) and I scan and use LR. I have a film M and an older IIIf, but my latest purchase is a couple of 500C/M bodies and a couple lenses... not much shooting with these, not much motivation with the pandemic.

I still need to scan my film from my trip to Ireland last year, so that will keep me busy when I get around to it.

Sorry to hear about the print head codes - my only idea was a rev level mismatch.

You’ll love medium format - the detail is amazing with the right (meaning sloooow ISO film). Like the Leica, Hasselblad was out of reach for me in those days. Made do with Yashika-Mat and f/64 for my clumsy waist level ground glass focusing.

I miss the tactile part of the darkroom loading reels blind and film processing. Enlarging - burning & dodging, slick feel of developer under your fingertips. Black fingernails not so much.

I had to give up the gear due to moving in corporate life - Taught for a while at a local arts school but it moved to Montana (not my career path - but just to get the free lab time). Then found some pro labs willing to take my printing notes.
