Buying 1st Pam, Down to 2

Hi Everyone. I really like both, my wrist is 6.75. I'm leaning towards the 722 (42mm) No 9 on dial which seems a little more symetrical to me with the small seconds only matching with the date. I also think being on Bracelets the 42mm might flow better and not be so much in your face. One thing that seems funny between the two is the 722 says waterproof to 100 meters and the 723 is rated at 300 meters. They have the same P9010 movement, both sapphire crystals and casebacks, could it be different gaskets or ?? Should that be any concern on choosing even though I do not plan on diving?. I do plan on buying from an AD (with a discount) as I want the factory warranty and the option of extending it. Any thoughts or Advice?... Thanks to everyone in advance..

Between those two, I really like the 722 as well. I have the PAM 1028 which is, essentially, the same watch as the 722 but with a blue dial.

I have no clue on the depth rating - it's the same on the 1028/1058 as on these two. The 1028 (42mm) is 100m and the 1058 (44mm) is 300m. Interesting - not something I had previously noticed.

Check thickness. 100m may be thinner

if you can pull off the 44mm that would be my recommendation, if you feel it looks too big on you, go for the 42mm.

I’m no expert but have you tried them on? Despite the advertised size, you might want to consider a 44. Not that there’s anything wrong with a 42, but Panerai wear exceptionally well even on smaller wrists and they are supposed to be a bit in your face

Yes Brian. Last week I stopped into an AD who just recieved some fresh stock of about a dozen new pieces. I did spend some time with a great SA and tried on quite a few. I know either size would work but a little disappointed as they had none on bracelet to try. I really could have made an impulse buy and was surprised I liked a Radimor on a light green crop strap as well as the base logo Luminor but Im going to stick to my choices here. Thinking...

Personally I would go with the 723. 44 is a great size for Panerai (although nothing wrong with the 42 if it's a better fit for you). Plus you get better w/r and a '9' on the dial. Then... let the strap fun begin, when you feel like a change from the bracelet

When I first started looking into Panerai I wanted a bracelet as well, and our local ADs didn’t have anything to look at, not even the boutique.

Eventually I came around to the idea of straps ... it’s sort of in the DNA. Not that bracelets aren’t great too, but maybe they just don’t say “Panerai” to me

I've seem to be making a 180° turn around. Now I'm Loving the Radiomir case (1940) on a strap. I saw it once and thought No Way due to the strap, but boy O boy its been growing on me big time. I realized I really was stuck on but do not need an automatic or date. I do love the small seconds with the 12-3-6 it's looking aesthetically perfect and the fit and feel of the slim case is so comfortable as well. Thinking on pulling the trigger, next step is to negotiate, I know they are willing to discount this one as its been sitting for a bit. Model 574, P1000mvt. 42mm, sandwich dial. I'm not sure if it comes with the rubber strap but I would want to get a dark blue alligator or calfskin for it as well. I've read a couple of times this one could be referred to a lady's watch?? Any thoughts on this one?.
