I got my crystal caseback today.
Not installed yet.
I thought the crystal was 100% flat but it does have a tapered edge about 2.5mm around the outside edge of the crystal.
The quality of workmanship looks excellent

Yup Stevo... I saw that too.. it is just like the regular caseback.. with that edge... I am guessing you got the one for your Daytona..

Yes, I did get it for my Daytona. However the Daytona has (unlike other SS models) a flat caseback, so in that regard the sapphire crystal is not just like the regular Daytona caseback.
Anyway, it looks good. I hope it feels good too.

I forgot about that... I will put my caseback soon... At least on the sub my wife did not find any difference wearing the sapphire caseback....

How about an original 1030 - I reckon it would look pretty good through a sapphire case back.

Very nice Eduardo!! I like crystal case backs, as I love to see the movements of watches. I find them fascinating. This type of caseback of yours is prettier as it mantains the same opening knurling of original Rolex backs.
I wish Rolex would offer transparent casebacks as original option for their watches!
Enjoy your watch and thanks for sharing!
Regards, Abel

Very nice. I like it a lot more than the German version. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the pictures. I think it's better in the Oyster case. The calibre is not so beautiful.
