How can you tell it's fake from such a poor picture?

I have got pretty good at spotting a fake sub, but I'm not 100% sure what to look for on a Daytona.

I have read in the past that all prop watches are fake, unless it is a watch being shown to the camera for commercial/endorsement purposes. The reason for it, if I remember correctly was because the props people have enough to worry about without having to look after watches worth thousands of dollars

Moved into a new house a year ago and finally got the dedicated movie room of my dreams. Little did I know how special having such a room and movie collection would prove when there's no new movies or anywhere really to go in the time of the Covid.

Anyway, the wife and I watched a double feature of Kill Bill Vol 1 and 2 last night on Blu Ray and on an 85 inch screen, and in upscaled 4k clarity, I instantly said "that's a fake Daytona." My wife was like, "What? Wind it back" and clear as day a very, very fake Daytona. Never noticed that before and happy to find a thread on it.

Also kind of wondering now how my Daytona-C would look on a strap.

Guys, it's a movie, they use props and these Rolex are props. Do you think they crash a real Ferrari or Lambo in your fav action movie? Do you think Bond running through a hall with 5 people firing at him and come out unscathed is real? Come on!

Yes but isn't it against the law to buy counterfeit products? The movie is actually proof that they broke the law

Exactly. I though this was known fact for majority! They don't use real watches for movies!

Nobody is going to prosecute them for it.
