Icon5 Sell Fp journe chrono bleu for Aquanaut?

Wondering if I should do this? I really like the Chrono Bleu but the aquanaut is waterproof.

Should I sell the FPJ for a Patek Aquanaut 5167?

*edit - my current collection includes GMT2c BLNR, OP 14300, Speedy Pro.

I would not sell it since not all have a fpj. It's a more unique piece.

Chrono Bleu and the 5167 are at similar price points, but quite different watches. The CB is a watch worn to be recognized by others and commented on, whereas the 5167 is a totally under-the-radar watch. Match the watch with your personality and how you want others to see you. There is no right or wrong decision here, but a mere difference in preference.

If water resistance is paramount, like it is for me, then yes.

Agree with Jon JOn...two completely different watches for completely different purposes. One dress and one sportier. Choose whichever suits your lifestyle. The 5167 can possibly get away with a formal dress wear whereas the CB probably could last a session in the gym...so the 5167 is more versatile. I owned both and the 5167 is still in my collection the CB is gone...

Same. I own both and I would not sell CB. It is an unique piece to own.

It's 42mm in WG and more than double the price.

Well tough to say. The Journe is unique and a watch lovers watch. Aqua is super functional. Really a matter of taste. I own both and if one had to go maybe the Journe. Maybe.

I have been trying to buy an fpj CB for the last 2 months. No body in Grey market or AD can find it for me. I tried in 3 different countries and so far no hope. If I were you I would definitely keep it. It is a very collectable watch and rumors that they will discontinue it soon.

I personally wouldn't sell for a 5167. I would try and get a 5711 in blue dial instead. The CB used to be rare but not anymore. In terms of aesthetics the CB definitely wins tho, my CB got more compliments from non-WIS then any of my other watches.

I've owned both, don't own either any longer. I prefer the 5711 and 5164. However, in your collection, the fpj is your only dressy watch, so that may be a factor

I would prefer the FPJ, had the aquanaut and let it go.

but agree that water resistance to swim with is a big factor.

Both can be found at rrp if you are persistent. I'd keep the fpj

Going against grain--I'd sell the FPJ personally.
