6.5 inch wrist, is the Speedy Pro too big?

Hey guys,
I currently wear a 40mm Submariner, and a 39mm Explorer I. Trying to see if Omega tickles my fancy. What do you guys think? Is the Speedy Pro too big for my wrist? Thanks for your feedback.

I have wrists your size and I say no. As long as the lugs don't overhang, you can generally consider it as wearable.

Edit: compare that to the one with the hesalite crystal.

It's a bit of snobbery, but hesalite is considered "proper".

Its not only proper it isnt a cloudy donut add on that fundamentally changes the looks of the watch. There are no arguments to not get a hesalite.

Not at all, the size looks perfect. If you feel it's a too heave or slippery, just change to leather strips.

Your photo is all the evidence you need, it's not too big on you at all. From my personal experience as a long-time Speedy wearer with 6.5" wrists, it feels and looks great!

Listen to the wise gentlemen here and try the hesalite version before making your decision, then choose the one that you like best.

My wrist size is about the same as yours. It looks great on you.
My Speedmaster has the Hesalite crystal and is a great compliment to the Sub and Explorer.

I know most, including myself prefer solid case back, manual wind, hesalite crystal versions but to each their own.

I rather enjoy this one and it only checks 2 of the 3 boxes as it has a sapphire crystal.

Looks great and I will buck the trend and say I prefer the sapphire crystal version. It is also automatic and I like the case back. When the bracelet is properly sized it will be perfect, as the Speedy's wear somewhat small based on the lugs. Do yourself a favor and contact a Trusted Seller, I used David SW for my Speedy, and save a lot on a purchase. These watch prices fall like a rock in the used market and if you don't buy right you will get your feelings hurt in a future trade or sell

The Speedy looks great on your wrist. It's not too big. The lugs don't hang over your wrist.

While some folks here think the hestalite version is the only real choice, I differ. My preference is for the sapphire crystal for three main reasons. First, sapphire is more durable. It doesn't scratch anywhere near as easily as hestalite. You'll need to polish hestalite from time to time because it accumulates scratches surprisingly fast. I will admit that the hestalite adds a warmth to the dial that isn't present with a sapphire crystal.

Second, the sapphire version also comes with a sapphire caseback that lets you see the movement. I like that--even if its not the purist's moonwatch.

Third, nickel irritates my skin in hot weather--even the minimal nickel content in steel watches. The sapphire case back reduces the amount of skin-to-metal contact--and prevents skin irritation for me.

The hestalite and sapphire sandwich are generally otherwise identical. Both 42mm with manual movements. The automatic version referenced in this thread is likely the Speedmaster Reduced, which is 38mm and says "automatic" on the dial. It's a good watch, but the subdials are too close to the edge of the dial for my tastes. Hope this helps.
