Sinn u1 quality of manufacturing?

Hello
I am going to buy a new watch and my decision between 2 watches
The sinn u1
The rolex submarine
I like the hefty feel of the sinn u1 more than the rolex
But my question is :shall the sinn u1 equall the rolex quality in manufacturing?
Is the u1 in the same level of quality as the submarine?
Cheers

Sinn is great, I have a 104, but I do not think you are going to find many people who think that Sinn is in Rolex's league for quality and workmanship and in-house movements. There is a big price gap that reflects that and it is up to you to decide your preference! Enjoy either or both watches!

Yes i know that there is a big gap in price
But sometimes the big price is due to the history of the brand and the name of the brand.
Sinn will not have same history as rolex BUT it may have same quality in production.
For example if you look at tudor prices you will find that they are way less than the rolex BUT they have the same level of quality as rolex .

So shall the sinn u1 be in the same quality as rolex submarine?
I mean in the process of manufacturing and the materials used .
I dont care if the movement is inhouse or not .

I'll allow the other readers to offer their thoughts and opinions first Sir. I'll take the last spot
This is easy since I do have first hand experience trying out the Sinn U1. The watch belongs to my brother since May 2014 and it's on the table in his room right now...

the sinn is a fine watch but no where near the level of a Rolex. Plus if you don't get the Rolex your going to have to change your user name, so there is that to consider too.

Get the one that you like the best though regardless of which one is better. They will both meet the day to day "needs" of almost everyone who owns one pretty equally. No sense in getting the "better watch" if you like it less.

I owned the Sinn 856 UTC and thought it was well made. I eventually sold it because I was not wearing it often. For the money it is a good value. i personally do not think a comparison of the U1 vs Rolex Submariner in terms of build and quality is very helpful. It is more a matter of what you like. I am not sure how tegmented steel is really better. One issue to consider... It is my understanding if the Sinn U1 needs a repair, it must be shipped back to Germany.

The sinn u1 is using eta movement ,so you can service it locally.

I stand corrected. Now you can get the U1 repaired in the USA but the watches that contain oil still need to go back to Germany-- EZM 2, Hydro and UX series.

Can't speak for the U1 but I love my 757 UTC. Sinn is a great tool watch value. Comparing brands is a fools errand, IMHO. Both are quality with different goals in mind.

I've heard a few things hear that I feel I have to respond to I don't think a Rolex is only about history and tradition and a nameplate I'm sorry but the quality of a Rolex is far better than that of a Sinn...
You're comparing a Sellita sw200 to a Rolex 3135.... I'm sorry but you're comparing a Ferrari to a Toyota Corolla sport... I have a Oris Aquis with the same movement and don't get me wrong I love that watch too but there's no way my Oris is in the same league as a Rolex it's just not
