Really I don't see many watches as being too over the Radar. For me the only watches that have really garnered attention were some of the wild designs from Invicta. Every time I wore one I'd be questioned about it. Rolex just doesn't seem to get the same interest, even my Sky D.

Amen. That's a watch you wear just for you (and other WIS of course)

"Under the radar" used to be a concern for me, but now Realize that unless it's gold or two tone, only serious watch enthusiasts notice.
Wear what you want !

For similar to Rolex range... probably like a JLC geophysic or MUT. Any like SS simple dress watch would be pretty under the radar. Sports watch wise, maybe an IWC XVIII.
For Rolex... I would agree with he EXII, especially if you put it on like a Rubber B or NATO. Just doesn't looks like a "common" Rolex, ie. a variation of a sub or DJ. Higher than Rolex... probably a Patek 5167. |

Patek 5164A is by far the most under the radar watch i own. No one knows what it is and it doesn't get a second look, ever.
Almost everyone knows what a Rolex is and people will notice regardless of the model.

they might recognize the name but not the value. Literally no one in my family back in the States ever wants to talk about anything but my Rolex when the topic of watches come up. They couldn't be bothered about my PP's or AP's. Im convinced they think my GMT is by far my most valuable watch.

Here, plenty of people would recognize the brand and also have a rough idea of pricing. From january through may of this year, I worked out at a personal training gym -- and my trainer was always talking about how he wanted to buy a PP or AP one day. He also liked to read chinese language watch magazines, as did his friends |

I agree with the Tudor Black Bay. Then again, although my Rolex DJ 16233 TT has the most identifiable Rolex features, it’s not exactly a loud watch either and I’ve never had anyone ask about it. I wear the Black Bay (Blue ETA) the DateJust and a Grand Seiko quartz in regular rotation and no one really notices. Still if I want to be very casual, the Black Bay is the go to.

It's not the cheapest option by any means but I think the Patek Calatrava is the best under the radar watch. Simple but elegant. I particularly like the 5196g.

Totally agree with the 114270. IMO, an all rounder. Best regards, Mr. Gonzalez |
