The Mark III, radial dial GMT-MASTER 1675.

One of the most collectable and elusive GMT 1675 matte dial models is the early to mid 1970s GMT with the Mark III dial which is also referred to as the "radial dial."

While arguments can be made that a few other GMT 1675 matte dials might be much more rare and elusive than the Mark III, one thing remains unique to the Mark III that the other matte dials do not share which is the layout of the markers that encompass the dial. The unique spacing of the markers is unlike that found on any of the other GMT matte dial models.

The Mark 3 was made in limited quantities with production overlapping the same era of production as the Mark 4 and Mark 5 dials and quite possibly the end of the Mark 2 production era.

Posts here on TRF of the Mark 3 model are not very common and plentiful, so, with that said, if you are one of the lucky few that own a Mark III radial GMT, post up some pics in this thread and share the beauty of those dials.

Killer watch… I like the fact that it looks so different vs other matte 1675’s.

Just an observation. The lume plot layout and scale of plots of the Mrk III looks strikingly similar to the 1675/3 dial, aside from 6, 9, and 12 which seem to be slightly closer to the indices.

The GMT radial dial is such a beautiful dial, which may not be apparent at first, but after seeing it occasionally over the years, its beauty becomes apparent.

Couldn't agree more, you don't see them often and its really grown on me. I actually understand the premium they're fetching.
