Legit Big Block (79180)?

Hi community,

These don't come up here often, so would appreciate your opinion on this [unpolished?] 79180 that I came across.

Many thanks in advance!

Being that there are no discernible marks on the watch it was either a: never worn or b: polished. I don’t think there is anything wrong with being polished. It’s the over-polishing that kills the watch and I don’t see that here. However if the seller insists it was never polished it would make me question other things the seller has said.

Looks good. Case back very often has different reference (relates to the bezel).

Thanks!

The seller says it hasn't been polished. Also, he has another watch exactly like this in stock in pretty much the same condition (slightly more worn bezel).

It's a pity big blocks don't seem to get much attention at TRF. Such a lovely watch IMO.

You haven't been paying attention, my friend. They are quite popular.

All 79180s I've seen for sale had "79160" on their casebacks...

Thanks! I am pretty stoked.

Funny thing is the seller had another almost identical watch, and it was gone within hours after mine.

Very nice!
Recent owner too

There seems to be far less of these with the white dial, rather than the black or silver dial options.

Exactly - one of the reasons I jumped on this one
Also perhaps the most legible dial of them all...
