Air King Advice Sought
I have a 1999 Air King 14000, 3/6/9 salmon dial. Beautiful watch. While the hour stick indicators still have bright lume, the hands are dim. Would an AD apply modern lume to the hands, or is this just what goes with enjoying an older watch? Your advice would be helpful to a new Rolex owner. Thanks.

they will likely just replace the hands with NOS which hopefully will match colour and intensity - no guarantees that they get it right.
Also, they don't generally do just that. You will likely need to put it in for a service at the same time. Other alternative is to contact an independent and they may be able to just replace the hands only. |

Thanks, don't think it needs a full service yet, runs very accurate. Guess I'll enjoy it as it is until time for a service or find a reputable independent to just deal with the hand as you suggested.
