I would like a “like” comment option

Sometimes I see a watch picture or comment that I like, but I have nothing profound to say. Wish I could just hit a “like” icon. Yay or nay?

No thank you. Likes are good for teenagers and social media. Not the same on a place for adults like TRF.

Probably. Likes are anonymous expressions of approval or disapproval. If someone likes or dislikes a comment here, just quote the guy and show everyone what you have to say. This is my humble opinion of course.

It could show the name of who liked you. That is fine with me.

Reading through 30 boxes of “Congrats, enjoy your new watch” is tedious. Why not just be able to give a thumbs up?

That is what the thumbs up emoji is for

When people have nothing to say, but want to give a like

There are a dozen auto comments I would endorse before a ‘like’ button.

Then people compete for "likes". Just post a comment as mentioned above if you feel strongly about a post. Very easy. or

No thanks, problem is, people are lazy and we end up with hundreds of likes and no comments.

Have to agree all that stuff belongs on those so called social media sites.

I like the idea but I feel that "likes" would end up hindering productive discussions. You would definitely end up with lower post counts.

Well judging some of the posts lately on forum Dan many must be still in kindergarten.

It's bad enough that we have post-counters who make it hard to wade through all the "new post" pages with one-word, or welcome messages..

We would become another "how many likes do you have" operations, and real discussion would become even more scarce than it is already becoming.

Use this if you must.

“Likes” are for juveniles seeking affirmation of a vacuous existence.
