Omega Genuine Nato Straps - Thoughts?

Got this from a boutique today. Very comfy and smooth to the touch. What do yall think of the color combo of the strap/watch ?

And is it okay for a nato to get wet (ie. Swimming)?

I think they are expensive for what they are, you are certainly paying a great deal for the name. As for durability. Not a problem. They won't shrink if that's what you're thinking. You should definitely rinse after wearing in the ocean though.

Looks good! I typically do not buy name brand nato's. I mean you can find a just as well made nato for $30, but some people like having the accessories match by brand.

Looks great. I’ve had hundreds of NATO’s and always go back to the omega ones. They are expensive for what they are but they are terrific and last very well.

The quality on the omegas are better quality, and to be honest if I'm spending 000s dollars on a watch I rather be it on a genuine strap. It's expensive but so is the watch =)

They are definitely nice, but IMO aren't any better than BluSharks. Actually, I think the BluShark Nato straps are higher quality than the Omega straps. To each their own, but I totally get your point.

The Omega NATO straps are some of the nicest manufactured and look great on the Omega watches. The only complaint is cost and they do cost. Most are $160.00 and I have never seen them go on sale from Omega. When buying an Omega from an AD most are open to adding a strap or two depending on how much discount you received. I have a bag full of the Omega NATO's and most where purchased from the Omega web site but I got lucky on a few and made the purchase from a friend. Beautiful watch and strap combination you have.

I like the Omega NATOs and think you might as well get one for a pretty expensive watch.

That Orange one looks great on your watch. I’m beginning to want one of those Rose Gold Seamasters.

And yes you can get it wet, rinse the watch after chlorine or salt water exposure. In hot weather and long useable it may start to smell funny, if so soak it in baking sofa and water,L for an hour or two then thoroughly rise.

I have two. They are expensive, and don't sit as cleanly on the wrist as other NATO straps. I much prefer the Toxic Nato premium NATOs personally. And I can get 5 for the price of one OEM.

Yeah I sometimes end up cutting the excess length on my natos. I would not want to cut a $160 nato.

Nice match up there.

Never bought the genuine omega Natos, but have bought a variety of cheap Natos ranging from $15 to $30. Some quality and weave and hardware differences, but nylon is nylon. I enjoy having the variety at a very low cost so no buyer regret.

Is that the sedna gold? Plays nice with that color combo.

Omega Nato straps really do feel good. Very fine, dense, tight weave, feels almost silky, sort of like a car seatbelt. I got a black & grey Nato (à la Bond).

Got the Original NATO strap on the Seamaster Commander 300m and it’s great. Just perfect.

I also bought an additional duplicate original Omega NATO strap from an omega boutique and I highly recommend them.

I have a question for you John. Did Rolex design the colour scheme of the watch around the strap or the strap around the watch? If ever there was a marriage made in heaven, this is it

Hi Greg. So the commander watch is an Omega. I think the design and colour scheme was designed together to reflect James Bond Navy rank.

All the details here.

It’s a beautiful watch

They are nice, but not worth the price tag imo.

I've been very satisfied with the Crown & Buckle that are around $30-$35 a piece.

+1. I just bought a crown & buckle premium NATO for around USD$35.

Quality and comfort is way better than the Cheapo ones around $15 which I never put on or use anymore.

It's a low cost to try something out. If you don't like it go ahead an buy Genuine Omega NATO.
