Limited Edition

Hi

Can someone explain to me how Omega only make say 2018 models of the PYEONGCHANG edition yet it’s sold worldwide? Surely they’ve made more than 2018? Is this real? Same applies for any of the other limited edition

Thanks

From what I understand, the Pyongyang Limited Edition was never a great seller, a few years ago, they were being offered discounted and today in the U.K. Goldsmiths have them at a big discount.

I would imagine as they are a numbered piece of 2018, that’s what would be made, it would be a bit embarrassing with two watches of the same number to surface.
So my guess would be 2018 of the two editions that were produced.

Also Omega have the numbered editions, which there is no end number, they just produce as many as they can sell, or expect to sell.

Really?

What’s the numbered editions which there’s no end number mean?

Do you mean there’s more than 2018 of these in the wild? :/

With the limited editions, it will be say, no0123 of 2018, so it’s limited to 2018 units.

With numbered editions, it will just have a number say, no4567, and they will produce as may of these as they expect to sell.

I have a Speedmaster Moon to Mars, which is a numbered edition.

When I said two editions, I meant that the produced 2018 Planet Ocean’s and 2018 Aqua Terra’s

There was two watches in the Peyongchang collection.

Yeah - seen that on goldsmiths.. thought it was a potentially good deal for the planet ocean 8900 only difference being a bit of red on front and little Olympics on back than the blue one

Wonder why it wasn’t that popular?

I think they were produced in 2016, ADs are likely looking to move it. I guess it's not so popular unless your a fan. IMO it's the best looking PO.

Yes, it comes with the same PO bracelet as the standard Planet Oceans.

It's actually not unusual for Omega, many others are higher in numbers.

I don't see 2018 being that big a number.. if they're sold globally?

Also, I've seen some show as 0000 - Why is this? Are these demo models or something?

The watch is the same as;215.30.44.21.03.001 right? - Other than the markings - The dial and mechanism etc is the same?

I very much doubt that 0000 would be on the actual watch, it may well be in the advert, but you would never have the watch numbered like that.

You'll be able to get the specs on the Omega website and compare other models.

I also dont think a lot of people realise it comes with the bracelet when they see it in store, the AD sales ladies didn't, until they opened the box to confirm it.

Don’t fall for Omega Limited Editions, man. Almost every model is “Limited Edition” so it is not special when Omega abused it. People would buy and sell because these watches do not have any special meaning to them. Hence, you see them everywhere. The only Omega Limited Edition I bought was the JDM 2020 Tokyo Olympics Speedmaster in Red. Why did I buy it? Because the 2020 Tokyo Olympics never happened.

I bought my LE simply because I like it better. No LE markings on the dial won me over.
