Picking up on your point Russell, how can we differentiate a 'flipper' from a person who just changes their mind about a piece for whatever reason after a few months or a year, and decides to sell it?
Reasons to sell may be a) to buy more watches, b) it was not getting a lot of wrist time, c) need the money for other things, d) just changed my mind... and if it makes a profit then great - don't see the need to be guilty about it. It seems there is a fine line, and I don't want to fall foul of it and ruin my 'reputation' etc, but ultimately there can be several reasons to sell a watch. What exactly is a flipper really? |
