Please Help Tudor 79090 bezel insert

Afternoon All,

I have previously brought up this topic around sourcing a 79090 sub bezel insert but they appear to be like rocking horse shit.

I have read numerous threads that states a 1680 Rolex sub is the same and can be used.

Before I pull the trigger and purchase a 1680 insert can anyone give me concrete certainty that it will fit. It’s driving me nuts not being able to source one and really need your expertise on this.

Please advise.

Many thanks

It Will Fit, as designed.

Only reasons it might not are deform of bezel or insert over time or skills to install.

Thanks for sending this over. I have spoke to the gentlemen selling but he only accepts wire transfer and I always loathe to make bank transfers to people I don’t know.

I realize this is tangential to your direct question, but won’t you be paying upwards of $400 for a 1680 insert that is not original, versus letting Rolex install an authentic replacement for much less?

(Edit - sorry, I see you already tried that to no avail)

It Will Fit, as designed.

Only reasons it might not are deform of bezel or insert over time - thnkascan go bad in 30-40 years, or skills to install by the person fitting the parts is lacking.

Great color. PM me if it falls through. I might have an extra one laying around. Love the color on these. The high costs of 1680's has really increased the 79090 restoration costs!

Evening All,

Just wanted to update you all on the insert.

I purchased a 1680 bezel insert and what to let you know that it fits perfect and snapped in delightfully. thanks for all that helps.

I also purchased a new strap for it also and think it sets it off lovely, fallen in love again now.

i have a 2011 rolex 93150 flip lock oyster bracelet with genuine tudor 380B end links for sale. Message me if interested.
