Tudor Private Archive Footage

Came across this YouTube vid by Hodinkee showing a visit to the private archive of the Tudor Watch Company.

https://youtu.be/LRtVy39XDWo

It’s only just over 11 minutes long but well worth a look if your interested in vintage Tudor’s.

Quite interesting if you’ve not seen it before.

I was intrigued by one of the watches featured as I’ve not seen one before & wondered if any other members had or even knew of any for sale?

The curator of the archive refers to it as part of the 7900 series from the late 1980’s

I’ve seen plenty of the blue versions but never the red.

It seems to have a sunburst effect on the dial and in my opinion is absolutely stunning.

The text is completely different on the dial to the blue version, but the curator doesn’t say too much about it which is very frustrating as I am keen to learn more.

I’ve taken a couple of screen shots below of the watch in question.

If anyone has any more info I’d be extremely grateful

Thanks in advance

If memory serves, that was a prototype that never made series production/sale, but did eventually serve as an inspiration for the first Black Bay.

Gorgeous. They'd sell all they could make.

They Skipped the 76100, I’m guessing because they look similar to the 79090?

I love mine, I wear it and “forgettaboutit”. Until the lume falls out shooting machine guns.
