I didn’t. I bought both watches at two different AD’s. My original AD told me to look elsewhere for my Platona and the “new” AD is not someone I’m interested in holding on to. Im happy with my purchases and I have confidence that if I want anything I will get it... I will just have to wait a bit... My original AD takes great care of me and I can only wear one watch at a time...😎

that makes sense then, thought you bought both at the same AD and they didn't offer anything which would be really unfortunate

One thing I would like to understand is if this watch is actually hard to get and becoming or already an allocation piece. Is my AD just exaggerating in order to push me over the line. I am not sure.

Some differing opinions here.

I will view it one day this week. I haven’t actually ever seen one up close. If it sits well and looks as good as it does on my wrist as it does in pictures I will probably get it.

I agree with this. It is entirely possible they do not have another watch currently that I would be interested in.

This would be my 6th piece from them in just over 2 years. 2 ladies DJs, a WG BLRO, the CHNR and Sub C.

I’m sure I’m not the biggest spender there but I think I should be on the radar as a loyal client.

I’d buy it. In my opinion, it is the best looking understated PM Daytona.

Out of the 5 you purchased from them, 3 are allocation pieces. The 116509 is tough to get here in SoCal.

I think the YG Green dial Daytona is hard to get after the Hodinkee Mayer interview. I don’t think the WG Blue dial is that difficult to find. I’ve seen a few of them in the past 4 mos at ADs in major metropolis area where one would see high demand from WIS community.

Well, at least you asked the question and maybe got them thinking about it.

Absolutely love this with the blue dial! Where in Australia are you? I was just in Melbourne last month at the AD in the Crown Casino and they only had two watches on display , The airport AD only had 3 watches , all Day Dates. Great looking watch, if you have the funds pull the trigger!

It boils down to whether you like the watch or not. I personally do. I think it's a very versatile and wearable watch. The kind that doesn't scream out at you from across the room, but when you start looking at it up close, you're mesmerized. Just my two cents,
Agree with this.

I'd also add that since they're upfront and honest with you, plus the fact that they contacted you once they sourced the watch that you asked for, suggests that they're a decent outfit to do business with.

That is slim. I haven’t been to an AD in a couple of months and it was bad then but what you saw is totally ridiculous.

They are a good AD, I have no problem with the way they conduct business. I do like them and they have been upfront which I like.

If it sits well on my wrist I will be posting an incoming in a few days

It looks amazing in pics and the YouTube vids I have seen. A few owners here have been very positive about it too.
