I hope that the first teaser pic shows the clasp and not the crown - a crown would show some knurling?

Yup- boutique only and not coming out till
Summer at the earliest. Will be tightly allocated to those with purchase history.

Very high price, boutique only, and a long-time before delievery. Interesting strategy.

I don't see the point of making another Nautilus, then.

Missed opportunity by Lange to fill a massive gap in the market here.

I just don’t see the inclusion of a date to be a sound choice and from those I know who have seen it it’s not attractive. Damn.

Edit: meant to say day not date

Not that I was planning on getting one, but these teases has made me lose total interest in the watch. "WE" instead of "WED"; a hard pass.

Oh man this thing will create anxiety in the Patek crowd since it will be hotter than nautilus in WIS circles and they quickly need to rack up purchase history with a Lange boutique to get on the list.

I really don‘t understand the criticism about the (high) price.

In an environment, where a Patek 5711 has a market value of 60-70k, Lange is well advised to make the watch „better than a Nautilus at the same price“ then having it „cheaper than a Nautilus“ as the main USP.

Just some posts above, people have been complaining about ALS being not profitable enough. Now they will likely put out 1000-2000 Sports watches that will hopefully fly out of the stores - why should they lose money and make them cheaper?
They sell them anyhow.

I presume you meant those numbers to be a reflection over the years, as opposed to annually?
It definitely won’t be annually, since that would be 25-33% of total production capability, and we ‘know’ from comments in the WA video that volume will be low – presumably not more than 150, if even.

Imo 1000-2000 pieces annually should be possible for them.
To produce and to sell.

I guess that the 5711 comes in similar quantities?

Good point, don't mind most days but the WE would be weird to see. $28K is on the high side as I suspected, not taking cues from Rolex and PP on this who are great SS under-pricers.

In relaity I find two letters instead of three to be weird for most days; MO, TU, WE, SA and SU. Not for me.

Price is on the high side. However, if they are just selling to existing clientèle it will most likely sell out. Nevertheless, doubt they will get many new buyers to the brand. Hopefully I am wrong.

Apparently it’s not a Boutique only line – ADs will be getting their share after SIHH next year (now renamed as Watches and Wonders, which sounds bloody stupid).

Two letters English day display seems at odds with Lange, which is all about asymmetry, but is an obvious symmetry to the date display.
I’m more interested in how they’ve managed to integrate the bracelet whilst retaining a difference from the usual options.

Proper size image – I’m liking the look of that.
Love the raised text, and the bracelet design can be seen in the reflection of the case back – Oyster-esque, by the looks of it.
Wonder if that means SEL rather than integrated in the RO/Nautilus/etc sense?

Obviously photographed as the day was making its transition, but hadn’t quite finished.
Instantaneous day/date change mechanism it is not.
