Love the asymmetric dial of the 12 and the blue, the micro rotor, and the sleek slim profile. It feels invisible and weightless compared to the 80 and 90. Would not part with it. The moon phase is also just sexy. You don’t see that too often on sport watch.

5980
The 5980 is a beast, extremely heavy and noticeable. Pretty blingy, not a very useful complication honestly to me. Very elegant and to me is the king of the nautilus range even though I know the incoming 5740 technically is. I bought this in 2017 before the nautilus market went skyward with a slight discount off msrp which is crazy thinking back.

5990
The 5990 is awesome to me. The weight is more than any stainless I’ve ever worn but not as heavy as the full gold which can feel pendulous sometimes. Chrono looks cool as mentioned above but no use to me. The travel time feature to me is awesome and so easy to use. I could do with date window instead of date wheel but it would be too similar to 5980 I guess so it’s fine.

Will post the 5740 once revived. Really looking forward to it and very fortunate that I have paid msrp. I had virtually no wait time with the exception of the 5740, which I requested 12 months ago, I was told I’d have it by February so we’ll see!

What other Pateks did you buy from your AD to have the fortune of being allocated TWO Nautilus in the last 7 months?

Wow, that’s not too much. I guess it was the preexisting rolex related relationship because your experience is rare! Do you live in a small market like the Midwest etc?

I’ve been throwing around the AP possibility, but every time I say I’ll buy an AP, there is a PP that becomes available to me and I end up with it....

I have Rolex too but I’m pretty much peaked there in terms of interest.

No Big city market, I do spend a lot there. I buy 5-7 time peices a year all PM Rolex or Patek.

Also quite a bit of diamonds for the wife.

I’m in honeymoon phase with 5990 so I think I like the bigger case and weight, but I’ll know for sure in a couple months.

I sometimes think AP but I’d like a 5205 R and a 5968 Aquanaut

Im curious how you feel about each of these? Any particular pros/cons, favorite, etc?

Are you also interested in the 5711 or too redundant?
