Eye of the Tiger

Spotted this very unique watch at my AD a few weeks ago and had to share with you all! I have been stopping by for months to check in and reinforce my interest in a different reference, I just happened to be there on the day this came in. I am in no way in the market for this watch however my SA is awesome (he’s a true watch guy) and he let me try it on. I was told a professional athlete was scheduled to stop by later that week to pick it up! Honestly even if I had the money to burn it felt a little tacky, I guess I’m just not ready for all that bling

Its looks big on you. Maybe its just the camera prospective. Go for it if the size works for you. Whats a little bling and money.

Honestly, if I ordered a watch from my AD and they let others try it on before I could pick i up...I'd be pissed.

Sorry I should have been more clear in my original post. It’s my understanding that at the point I tried it on the watch was not sold and was still available for purchase. The guy just had an appointment to look at it, it wasn’t “ordered” for him. No harm done

That’s so true. Quite by coincidence, my local jeweler had one come in for sale and was wearing it today. He’s keeping it.

His wife said what you did. He told me it isn’t for time, it’s for show!

His was YG on alligator strap. I was stunned at the dial - looks Byzantine by design

It’s a special limited release Daytona from Basel 2019. Just google “eye of the tiger” Daytona for the details. Was awesome to see in person

While I appreciate the craftsmanship put into it this just looks horrible.

There's actually one for sale at AmsterdamVintageWatches. I can't post the link however they're asking 125K EUR! Anyone know the list price of these?

I love diamonds on a watch. But. There is not much I like about this one, not the least of which is the oysterflex on that already challenging piece.

I like it. These more rare Rolex references are going to be the only collectible from this generation imo

I definitely agree with you on this, but who knows these days. It’s really like the Wild Wild West sourcing/buying watches now.
