Under Radar Rolex?

I know neither of the following watches would be considered under the radar; however, in your experiences/opinion, is the GMT Pepsi (Jubilee) or the blue Sky dweller SS (Jubilee) less likely to draw attention when traveling abroad?

Thanks

Well, you've probably picked out two of the most striking steel models.

A Jubilee can never be "under the radar", polished, glittering, flashy. The Skydweller also has a fluted bezel, adding even more glitter.

None of them are inconspicuous, but if you have to choose, it's probably the Pepsi.

reading all "is it safe to wear" and "my buddy was robbed" posts, my conclusion is that usually it's not a watch that draws attention at a first place.

Try an OP or an Explorer if you want under the radar.

It depends on who you want to get robbed by.

If you want to get robbed by someone young and enthusiastic, who's new to the game and only got involved with robbing watches during the recent hype, then wear the GMT. But you won't get that luxury mugging-experience. It'll be quick, fumbling, and a little ... tacky. It's sure to leave a nasty taste in your mouth.

If you want the genuine thing, go with the Sky Dweller. Your personal mugger will be a slightly older gentlemen with many years of relieving people of their time-pieces. He'll appreciate your Rolex for what it is: it'll hit eBay before you hit the concrete. Your mugging will be effortless and suave. You'll wake feeling refreshed, lighter-of-wrist and ready for the day ahead.

Since you already are aware that these two watches are among the stars of Instagram, the answer is: Sky-Dweller may be mistaken for a « big DJ », so it would be relatively more obvious than the GMT, to the novice robbers.

Under Radar Rolex?

Under the rader is the EXI steel or an OP with white, silver or black dial.
Cyclops, fluted bezel’s, gold, colors and jubilee bracelets are eye catching.

If those are your only two options, I'd pick up a Timex for the trip if you are worried about it.

Neither are under the radar in the slightest bit I’d say Sky is more blingy with the fluted bezel.

Get an explorer 40 or OP41 black/blue/silver if you want under the radar.

Get an Explorer II. Nobody will care. You can even show thieves the time and they'll just thank you.

Sky dweller is pretty bling. It’s a large watch and the fluted bezel is a beast.

All of the above. I would possibly add a pre-owned Air-King to the list.

Steel Explorer, Explorer II (even the polar), Air-King, Steel Sub, OP in black or dark blue. Nothing PM, nothing fluted or no part-coloured bezels. I would add the black steel Daytona as it never really gets anything more than a cursory glance from anyone when I am wearing it.

Funny, Thats one of the many reasons why I prefer my EXII above other Rolex
references.

FWIW, I wear my BLRO everywhere I travel.

I’ve never had a comment, but I do know that doesn’t mean it hasn’t been noticed.

both are quite blingy, eye catching, and high on the desire list (for us as well as scoundrels) - maybe fluted bezel catches light a bit more (but too close to call). This is the primary reason I have a Exp I 39mm

Refreshing in this day and age, Brian. I also wear my BLRO almost every day, travel included. Couldn't imagine buying a watch and being afraid to wear it.

Maybe I'm in the minority here, but if I'm traveling abroad I'm wearing a G-shock Casioak.
