Thanks for this great Thread.
I've been agonizing over whether or not to go-small with one for my collection. A highly skilled watch maker once told me that he thought the large dials would eventually fade as they were trendy and easier to make. He said, the real collector sees the skill necessary to put all that art into a smaller watch (think PP).
I didn't realize there were so many folks out there rockin the 34-36 range. They all look great!!! Please keep'em coming.

Circa 1972, so comfortable you don't even know it is on the wrist. A do it all watch at home in any environment. The 34mm size fits well on my 6.75" wrist.

I stopped wearing this a while ago at which point my gf commandeered it. It’s actually really overdue for service and I’m contemplating Rolex service vs service on the secondary market. I’ve seen some people on the board do some amazing work on various watches.

Anyone have any Recommendations for where and how to service it (who)?

I love that AK dial, that's my favorite!!! If m 14000 ever needs a dial swap, that's the one I'd try to get.

‘91 Air-King. 34mm. It’s my daily wearer. Love everything about it- comfort, glides under the radar and fits any scenario.

Couldn't agree more, I have the exact same watch. Believe it's a 14000.

Newbie here considering getting a 34mm Air King. Anyone knows what's the lug to lug distance for a 34mm AK?

My 6.7inch/17cm wrist is about 51mm across, not sure how well will a 34mm AK fit…

Thanks in advance!

I miss this one terribly. Maybe I will replace it. Still wondering why I ever sold it. Even though I am fortunate enough to have a wrist 7.25in. which comfortably accommodates almost any size watch, the 34mm OP still wears great.

Cheers,
Carl

Gone, but not forgotten, AirKing 34mm on 7.25" wrist, still thinking 34 mm is too small for you?
