Speedmaster love

Wore my speedie for the first time in a few weeks today. Got to say I absolutely love it! This would honestly be the last watch I sell... partly because I don't have the bracelet and only wear it on leather so the "value" to me is so much higher than it would be to the market.

Watch is from 2000 and has aged better than I have over the last 18 years.

I share the same love, of all the watches I’ve owned and sold, the speedy is only one I’m keeping, for the money IMO there isn’t a better watch.

I'm with you. It's a watch enthusiast's watch, for sure

In order to understand and love this watch you need to either buy or sell it...;)

Yep, I keep coming back to these. For some reason, they’ve never lasted for a particularly long time with me (mainly due to chopping/changing collection), but now it’s a bit more stable I’m looking at adding a variant of speedy back again. Question is which one.....

I am so on the fence about selling mine. It was my first mechanical and love it, but it gets very little wrist time as i am not sure i like the size any more (42mm isnt massive but my wrist is 6.5”), and i am enjoying smaller 34-36mm watches. But every time i think about selling or trading i cant do it. Is it better to regret not selling than to regret selling? But it is a stunning watch.

Try to use with strap or nato instead of bracelet. For me they make watches are felt smaller.

I agree. The bracelet makes it seems huge, plus adds a lot of weight. Currently have it on a brown leather strap and probably wont ever have it on the bracelet again. I dont think i will sell, but you can never say never.

In my view, the moonwatch seems smaller than 42mm. For example, comparing to my SubC and Skx007 I do not feel it bigger.

Very true, sold my first one, now that I bought it again, it’s become a watch I’ll never sell!

Get a FOIS. They are a little bit smaller.
