That’s the only Daytona I would buy - and then change the bezel to black ceramic.

The brown bezel on that model has never pushed my button but that diamond dial certainly makes the watch.

I have tried one at an AD and I think you’ll like it. Mine was one with the lume plots, but so little lume as to be useless.

Rolex did a masterful job with the 50th Daytona diamond dial - it doesn’t scream diamonds - very subtle.

Congrats.

Lord Thunderin', never knew the Platona could have a diamond dial, looks fantastic, love the shape of the diamonds, perfect match for the dial....congrats!

It sounds a lot like my tale. I really didn't want so many watches I needed a spread sheet to keep track of them. I've still go a hand full of decent watches and a fair number of lesser pieces. You only consolidated a few but I rid myself of 19 watches and I'm happy to be done with them. Also, I can't see myself going backwards and trading the Daytona in on multiple watches. I hope I'm done.

At any rate major congratulations are more than in order; It's gorgeous!!! I hope you can keep it for a long time!!!
