That would be funny. I bought mine yesterday with no idea. I paid a premium because I wanted it and I was wasting to much time looking online. I had no intention of selling it or anything. Like i said I wouldn't sale it for a good offer now. I plan on wearing it once the hulk honeymoon is over

People paying $11,000-$14,000 for these are going to feel pretty stupid this time next year when they are sitting in ADs.

I'm telling you...just wait and see. Rolex is not discontinuing the Batman.

No offense but statements like this make me cringe. You nor anyone else has any idea about what will happen. Whether its new movement or discontinuation. Lets all acknowledge that we all have no idea what Rolex will do.

I admit it. I'm a dumb dumb 12.5 but I just didn't want to wait and wanted the watch now. It does not matter to me if they do or not. Although it would be nice to keep it so more People could purchase

Even if they don’t discontinue them, you think one will just be able to walk in off the street and pick one up? I don’t. I bought mine earlier this year for $10,5. Was worth the premium not having to wait. $11k isn’t that big of a deal when waiting list in populated areas are 10-20 deep.

Even if it’s not discontinued, they definitely won’t be sitting in ADs.

There are several not marked sold listed in the last week. Type in BLNR in the search box and they pop right up and are for sale as far as I can tell.

Same exact thing happened to me earlier this year. Was looking for an LN but AD had a BLNR in the safe. Ended up with the BLNR but would have been happy with the LN just as well. LN is a sleeper indeed.

I heard Rolex is discontinuing it because while it sold well they were embarrassed by the behavior of grown men fawning over it.

Whether all sold or dealers got the latest info and rumours and acted like market makers not sure, but this really is like a commodity trading market now.

I agree, I don’t think they will discontinue a popular model “ BLNR” but it would make sense to discontinue the all black LN version. As I don’t think it sales or it’s in demand anywhere close to the BLNR. But who knows. I guess we shall see in a few months.

Come on guys. Look at DavidSW. He either sold the watches or pulled them based on...what ? A rumor or reliable info ? He is in the business of making a profit and knows the market better than us in here.

Lets smell the coffee—Rolex watches are now a commodity market.

Nothing new there. It's been like that for close to two years now. Fully stickered boxed sets are sitting in people's collections rather than getting worn and enjoyed. It's sad, really.

This might be a strange logic, but will we now see BLNR’s coming through at AD’s if they get discontinued? I.e. they’re not making any more so the number that are already made will just be sent to AD’s?

If they're legitimately discontinued then we won't be them showing up anymore. In the current market every watch that rolls off the production line is basically sold already.

<Yawn> I hope they are discontinued so we don’t have to see so many pictures of their ugly mug. Can’t stand this model. The shade of blue is hideous. Like the yas marina blue on the new m3. Rolex would do well to get this one out of the line up. <ducks head as TRF throws things>

I’m sure glad I bought mine when I did. Wouldn’t surprise me if Rolex were snapping up all of the remaining pre-owned pieces.

You think Rolex changed their business strategy from manufacturing at $2k and wholesaling at $6k to wholesaling at $6k and buying at $11k?

No I was joking a little. Stranger things have happened though.
