After a couple of years... another incoming
A lot of good things have happened in my life over the past couple of years since I bought my last Rolex years ago... the birth of a new son, a long-awaited promotion, and a new home, among others. Therefore, I thought it was a great time to get a new watch to celebrate.
I bought my watch from an AD in Yokohama. This was my first purchase from an AD. Nothing fancy from the AD experience... I was given a bottle of mineral water as they adjusted my watch to size. And there were no freebies either. But the staff were polite and helpful, which was more than enough for me. I really like the Air-King. I think you are getting a lot of watch for the money. It looks better in person when compared to looking at photos over the internet. And it is comfortable to wear. Of course, pics or it did not happen... |

Congrats! Great watch. I just love how they integrate the Rolex green into the dial and second hand.

Congrats, wear it in good health. The only problem with your pic is that your shirt is begging for a Pepsi GMT.

Bomber watch.
Your son is going to be pretty happy the day he discovers Rolex, and then realizes that watch will be as good as the day you bought it on the day you no longer need it.

Congratulations !
Rolex Air-King is totally undervalued wristwatch. I own the same watch (actually 2). The Air-King =Very cool and classic VS Classic & cool. I think you are a smart gentleman. "I really like the Air-King. I think you are getting a lot of watch for the money. It looks better in person when compared to looking at photos over the internet. And it is comfortable to wear." And it is comfortable to wear. Yes, that surprised me too !!! THIS IS A KEEPER ! Nobody loved the MILGAUSS in the years 60/70. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WNt5iK8EuAU AIR-KING Sub Rosa BTW Love:Haruki Murakami |

This is a divisive watch in how so many perceive it. I love the printed dial and think it is one of Rolex most striking dials. I wish it had better lume with maybe printed lume as well as 3-6-9 lume. To me that would make it an exceptional watch instead of something that is so divisive. Congratulations!!! This is one of the few dateless watches I could see owning!!!

The Air King is Very Cool and has lots of history. Even the Letters on the Dial, "Air-King" is the same font from the 50's!
