This 14060M just isn't kosher

Listed on the "Bay." Opening bid was $00.99 ........... Link to watch and some pics : http://www.ebay.com/itm/120862851293...84.m1438.l2649 The dial just isn't right to my eyes for starters.

That and the dial looks like carbon fiber. Otoh, the pics may have been taken by a phone camera. The starting bid is what really scares me.

I've already asked the seller a ton of questions. Wish some of the regulars would ask the seller what kind of battery it takes ................

After going to the link I would fall for it. Based on the story, not the seller...

Uh huh. He told me that the initials on the case back are his. Not formal engraving, just etched by him using a scratch awl. Now what kind of dummy does that to a $6 k Rolex ? Also told me he sold the box and papers on eBay a while back. Nuts I say.

The Crown on the Dial is huge. as a guide, the crown always fits inside the 12 hour marker triangle. the second hand looks too long. the crown is WAY too large. It looks like AAA class replica. i have seen some of these and they are scary. they look okay if you dont have any experience with Subs or have the real one to compare. another sure way to tell is how the serial is engraved.

Looks to be fake, more than a few things going on but the one thing that jumps out at me is the almost silver script on the dial

Based just on the dial crown and dial script I'd pass on that one.

pointed crown guards ? Fake.

It has a squashed S on Submariner which should make it a Y serial if it was real..

It's clearly fake. The Rolex crown doesn't line up properly with the 12 hour marker either.
