How bezel inserts can change the look of a vintage Sub?

Anyone has pictures of a vintage Sub with different bezel inserts? My 5513 has a faded bezel which does match the faded dial but I wonder if a mint, blacker insert could give the watch a new look.

10 or so years back the first thing I did when I bought a sub was fit a new bezel insert
If only I had known
Value aside I still think they look better with a mint insert

I am of the thinking that heavy patina needs a dark non faded insert. If the lume plots are more white, then a faded insert is best.

I changed my 1665 insert about 11 years ago at service, as at the time I thought I didn't like the faded insert.
£27 pounds, said the AD
Woah how cool!! Lovely new shiny insert. Make it so Mr. AD
And it turned up with a new Super glow in the low light Pearl. Brilliant.

Well, it's 2020 now & I regret doing that change BADLY

Anyway, lazy recycled pic ...

It was the thing to do
I compounded the stupidity by selling all the faded inserts on eBay just before they become fashionably and valuable
Idiot!

Actually I don't intend to sell my faded insert, but to add another to give the watch a new look.
