7206 'spring-loaded' rivet ?
Good day all.
The seller of this bracelet does not what to believe me that a 7206 rivet can not be a spring loaded bracelet. Inner link stamped 7206, clasped stamped 63. I've come here for confirmation to settle the argument. Appreciated in advanced |

According to the Rolex parts book, that would be a model 6636 if it is a stretch bracelet.

When comparing to Springers' own bracelet- link
https://www.gmtforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=240 I tend to arrive at the conclusion this may be a Yuki aftermarket bracelet. |

It could be a Yuki, which is a well known web site that sells counterfeit parts. The 7206 bracelets are known to have been counterfeited.

Notable exclusion are the stamped words 'PATENTED &' on the inner clasp.
Other differences- • rounded rivet pins •hole placement on clasp •clasp logo shape This weighs 30g as does my other 7206. So I know I've answered my own question. Too many red flags, but it's not far off. |

Stamps look aweful. It is no good. Ends are wrong too (for folded bracelets) and are the often counterfit 382 which normally fits Tudors.
Prior to 1963 Swiss rivets were unmarked without a ref. Then they could be both expandable and not. After 1963 they are marked 6636 or 7206 to define what’s what. However it is not uncommon that owners converted their bracelets to make them springloaded. So not really a great tell to see if it is right or not.

After a lengthy debate with the seller regarding its authenticity, the item was returned and funds reimbursed only to be relisted. Here is the listing-
https://www.ebay.com/itm/274255009093 I have reported it though don't suspect ebay to act |
