Fantastic pieces gentleman!

A quick question....do you guys find the 24hour dial to be useful or just sort of 'there'? I've sometimes wondered why PP didn't make that a date dial instead. Especially on models such as the 5396 where the date window overlaps it. Thoughts?

I think that 24 h dials in general is only useful when setting the time, to know if you are on the right lap or not... I never use them otherwise.

Agree , Is just a filler imho ....specially if you put your calendars on a winder . I had the 5205R black dial and I never used it

Love it.
by the way what do you guys think about the display sequence on modern AC such as 5960 5905 5205 etc. Would Month Date Day look better?

I like them as is. But if they were always displayed as you say I'd probably say the same thing.
