after i sobbed the 5396R and got the 5712R instead, i am back to annual calendars. currently swaying between 5205 (not sure which version) and 5146 (not sure about the version either). in a way 5205 represents the 'new' patek and 5146 the traditional one.....
or back to 5396, maybe G with breguet numerals? hard to ask for advice with may current level of uncertainty but of course comments are appreciated.
Peter
ps: the good thing is that i can hardly go wrong, all great watches. i just realized that the market for 5146 has gone soft a bit. maybe 5396 with breguet numerals and 5205 will be collectibles, most likely not 5146, for what this is worth:::))))

@PAM66
After owning and wearing so many Patek watches, AC's especially... I feel, that if you want to wear an AC for daily use then WG or SS works really well!
I do really like the 5146G with the Cream Dial as it's easy to read the time... however the Slate dial on the 5146 is beautiful!
The 5396G White Dial is also a beautiful and easy to read time watch that's not too flash !
Then off course the 5726 White Dial or Grey Dial are both winners in my books!

I really do love the look and feel of the 5205R... however, I find that it is a bit more dressy than the 5146... If you are looking for a AC to go with a business attire then the 5205 is a real winner! A very comfortable watch to wear!

My humble 5146

In response to other questions on the thread- nope, the date windows are in the right order on the 5205 etc already
The 5396 was a close second to my choice but I found the size of the 24hr dial jarring and a power reserve far more useful.
The 5146 keeps selling and in Patek terms is still good value(power reserve, deploy any et al) so they keep making them and supply doesn't seem to be restricted.
The other configuration I would be tempted to change for would be an AC with chronograph but that's another jump up in money.

I don't think so. At least not for 5205.

I'd tend to say Jan 10 usually. in written you are right that(mon, 10th Jan) is the sequence to use. In either format of display it is like what Martin said we could get used to both quite quickly.
