Advantages of Marrying an Older/Younger Woman?
Case in point: A second cousin (aged 47/divorced once) is currently exploring/considering re-marriage. His first marriage was to a woman 7 years his senior (he was 28 and she was 35 at the time). The first 7-8 years seemed to go OK but later down the road, he began to grow weary of her controlling instincts and family members used to joke that he had married a 'mother figure'. It all came to a boil by the time he had reached his early 40s and when they finally got divorced, he used John Lennon's lyrics/quote, "I just had to get away."
Fast forward to 2017. He is currently dating two women. One is 27 and the other is a bit more closer to his age (around 45 or so). The 27 year-old is an absolute stone fox and very responsive when it comes to sharing physical intimacy. The older woman is a divorcee with two 20-something children and a bit more reserved, preferring quiet dinners, wine country tastings and weekend excursions to his beach house. His dilemma is that on an intellectual and conversational level, the 27 year-old falls far short regarding any frame of reference to his interests and tastes in music/art/movies etc. and has very little awareness of the historical and cultural events that took place during his formative years as an adolescent and young adult. This is to be expected. The older woman provides more of a comfort zone in these areas but in her, he sees reflections of his previous marriage + he does not want to deal with any adult children from her earlier marriage interfering with his life. Also understandable. The guy loves to quote rock music and in this particular example/case, he quoted Bob Dylan's lyrics, "Don't you understand? It's not my problem." BTW, he is childless from his first marriage. When asked for my opinion, I reluctantly advocated the younger woman even though there are no guarantees in life or interpersonal relationships. At least he would be starting off with a clean slate. Besides, there's always Viagra/Cialis and in the event they do separate/divorce by the time he reaches his sixties, he can always start over again and maybe by that time a woman in her mid-late 40s won't seem that old anymore. |

I gave you the benefit of the doubt before but this is getting to rediculous to be anything other than fabrication.

Just to be clear...is it a 2nd cousin, or a 1st cousin once removed?

In the U.K. The average wait in the ER was 3.5hrs at my local hospital. If you take Viagra you are supposed to attend if you still have a bothersome trouser issue after 4hrs. I often wondered if our ER waiting room was clogged by middle aged men hanging out 'just in case'.

Show him a Patek Calatrava and a blinged out gold Rolex and ask which he prefers. I think this is quite a similar comparison and would give an idea of his values
