Wife finally asked the question...

If you know me at all you know I tinker with my watches. I swap jubilee for oyster bracelets, often wear Everest Bands, occasionally play with leather straps. So I suppose it was only a matter of time before...

"Will my Datejust bracelet fit on your Ceramic Daytona? That way we can easily swap bracelets and share the Daytona!"

Ughhhh.

Her bracelet won't fit, right!? RIGHT!? RIGHT!?

Short-term pain (losing the Daytona). Long-term gain (sharing the hobby).

Ha. My friend. You are doomed.

Great thread.

I like your wife already and I've not met her yet.

My wife is fringe lunatic now. I should be careful. She looks at my watch when we see each after being cross country. Its actually funny cause I tell her it's the same watch but change bezel or bracelet. She knows tho.. I think

She csnt figure out this black bay red though

I keep feeding mine purses

Sure a Chanel or an LV come at a price...but a drop in the bucket compared to diamonds lol

I'm fortunate she is very supportive of my hobby. I actually made a point of letting her know I would always be that fool spending a kings ransom on unnecessary watches and sometimes cars. If she wasn't comfortable, now was the time to say so!

Best conversation I've ever had.

Let her wear it. Use as an excuse to get another addition.

It's like the simple maths quote I have seen recently - 'If you have $20 and you wife has $5, your wife has $25!!

I would just tell her if I did not want her wearing the watch. If not, switch the bracelet and off she goes.
