Anyone know S550? Suspicious actions

S550 inquired about my BNIB 116613 on Sunday. Willing to pay paypal fees and send own fedex label.
Sent paypal to my account using name "sumeet.chandiramani@gmail.com". Shipping to Saral Kumar in NY. Saralkumar@yahoo.com.
Claims to use name "samk100" on TZ.
Checked with reference of one our members who somewhat recognized him.
Later Sunday night requested a refund to paypal account, and asked for my bank wire information. Sent right away and did refund.
Claimed to have sent wire Monday at 8:05 am, his time. No wire Monday, and communication stopped.
Maybe I am over reacting, but too much information exchanged to allow it to go unmentioned.
Anyone out there that can shed some light on this?

Sounds very suspicious. I'd NEVER accept Paypal and use buyer's Fedex account...

Icon4 Warning!!!

Yes he's done that so many times. First, he gives low ball offers and keep coming back with better offers. Then he accepts the deal, asks the bank wire info from sellers and gives his Fedex account numbers to tell them to use it…. But end up he disappears…….

His info:
Saral Kumar
43-25 Douglaston Parkway
Apt 3C
Douglaston,NY,11363

His previous banned ids here:

"samkumar" & "nishantJ" and his contact numbers: (516)468-8422

His fedex account #1803-2499-2

P.s Glad you did not mail the watch out first when you just received his Paypal payment….

And when he paid through paypal paying the fees, why did you refund?

Am I missing something of the logic here?

I did not send the watch, and only refunded the paypal payment, as he decided to save the fees and wire Monday morning. Of course no wire came, and he disappeared.

Forget about him and move on. I wouldn't have any more dealings with him if I was you. It's not worth the risk.

Why not? As a buyer, I'd rather use my FedEx account and have you ship it from me, to me so that I can handle the insure issues if they arise. Now, I understand that FedEx doesn't insure watches, but the process works for other items. Otherwise, as a buyer, FedEx (UPS, USPS, etc.) won't talk to you.

Never and Ever are strong words! There are always exceptions. I frequently send UPS labels (with a parcel pro insurance wrap) to sellers when I make a purchase using my account with parcel pro/ups. Your point is valid if the buyer is otherwise "questionable".

Do so at your own risk. You have no idea about the account or the address. Up to you.

Insurance obligation is that it is delivered to the address on the label. Thats it. Whoever signs for it is irrelevant. Once delivered the cover is dropped.

Correct. However, only the sender can file a claim. The shipping company does not have a contract with the receiver.

The first watch I purchased was delivered to the wrong address, to my neighbor down the street. He signed for it. He and the driver were none the wiser it was the wrong address. Lucky for me the mistake was corrected by honest neighbor. In this case then, the insurance would be useless, because someone signed for it? FedEx is notorious for bring packages to the wrong address. I've had two other instances of misdeliveries that required searching the neighborhood.

My luck, he contacted me also on another watch forum where I have a watch for sale. Same actions, asked plenty of questions, references, etc .
He wanted payment by paypal, and after he will receive it , I will give him a refund and them he will make me a bank wire
Sounds clever.
Avoid him, you will lose your time.
