Congrats on the new car.

Even with limited mileage intentions, I would recommend removal of the Goodyears and replacement with:

265/40ZR-18 BRIDGESTONE POTENZA RE050A N1
345/35R-19 BRIDGESTONE POTENZA RE050A SCUDERIA

They make a significant difference to the dry weather abilities of the car, and make it substantially less likely to bite you anywhere at or near the limit, especially in cooler weather.

As far as investment, cars are much like certain watches, in that they are diversification. If you buy it, drive it here and there, and it's worth what you paid for it in 10 years, I'd consider that a win. If it's worth more, hey even better. Put it in your garage, look at it, and consider that the investment.

I also wouldn't be very concerned about losing a lot of value per mile. Depends on the starting point. But there's not a massive delta in what they are worth with 3500 miles or 6500 miles. The cars are so reliable and easy to maintain that unlike most cars in class, you won't really be spending much more money keeping a GT running at 5000 miles than you would at 50,000 miles.

You are exactly right sir.

Great comment and post.

Not necessarily as an investment but I've been contemplating which sports car around $50k wouldn't kill me if I had to sell. That took me a to a 2017 GT350. Hard to predict these things but looking at previous Shelby mustangs... The GT350 seems to be a good value now and should hold value fairly well.

Here's a picture of the one I test drove and I'm considering:

Damn Seth, huge congrats. I always remembered the first real watch I bought was actually that IWC from you all those years ago that I gave you a hard time about cuz of some scratches on the bezel lol.

Super happy for you brother! Thanks for taking us on this amazing journey with the different cars over the years. It is very cool to see where you started to what you're rocking now.

A manual transmission 2019 ZR1 Corvette is a good bet. They have been holding their values well. Last of the front engine Corvettes and manual trans. It was a one year only build. Even though the A8 trans is quicker, I would take a stick any day.

Mad Max? Does a 4x4 sprinter bull bar, runflats, RV work?
